IS PODIATRY BULK BILLED THROUGH MEDICARE?

If eligible, yes!
Eligibility is dependant upon a patient having a chronic health condition, such as diabetes, arthritis heart disease, chronic eye trouble etc. It is essential to contact your GP to have an Enhanced Primary
Care Plan organised first, before you make an appointment to allow bulk billing to take place. Your GP can allocate to you a maximum of 5 visits over the calendar year.


WHEN IS A REFERRAL REQUIRED?

DVA Gold Card holders or TAC/ Workers Compensation clients and Bulk Billed patients through Medicaree will need to present with a valid referral so as to be Bulk Billed.


DOES INSURANCE COVER PODIATRY?

Often you will have some cover. It is important you check your level of cover. We provide HICAPS on the spot claiming for participating health funds.
